The “Glass Bead Game” – an installation by artist Lidia Karbowska based on the novel by Hermann Hesse – can be played by eight people. Hermann Hesse describes the rules in his book – perfect mastery of them is the test for the highest offices in a state. (Before playing, we recommend rereading this wonderful book, which describes the ideal model of a state).
Here, 8 people can sit around a round table and discuss or play – or both… A round room, lined with Yves Klein blue curtains made of handmade glass balls from India, in which the sun plays its wandering shadows.
